Rose E. (Barriere) Connolly, 81, of Central Falls, passed away on February 6, 2023. She was the wife of Donald E. Connolly. They had been married for 55 years.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Gregoire J. and Yvonne (Martel) Barriere, she had resided in Central Falls most of her life and in various locations during her husband’s military service.
She was a CCD teacher at St. Bernadette Parish, Bellevue, Nebraska and Holy Spirit Parish (St. Mathieu Church) and volunteering for church needs many years.
In addition to her husband, Rose is survived by many nieces and nephews, Michael (Marybeth), Marc (Bridget), Stephen (Erin), Dawn, and David (Kathleen) and their children.
She was the sister of the late Gerard J. Barriere (Judy) and Jean Paul Barriere (Rita).
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 8:15 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Holy Spirit Church, 1030 Dexter St., Central Falls. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are Monday, February 13, 2023 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose’s memory may be made to Holy Spirit Parish Restoration Fund.
